PhotoGrid for 10/29-31/2012: The Cable & Internet Outage Edition
Here are the things I did when Sandy knocked out my cable and internet.
Worked on my Christmas knitting. That was a tough one since weather like this aggravates my hands and fingers. But I managed to knit a few rows of the mystery gift. The yarn is a super bulky and it’s so very soft. Maybe someday I’ll buy a bunch of it an an outlandish color and knit it up on needles that are a bit too small so it’s tight and make a wonderful blanket out of it.
Painted my nails. I went with a silvery-blue base with mauve and blue swooshes, topped with a fine silver glitter with purple and blue hexagonal glitters. It was my storm theme.
Read all the books. I love my Kindle, I truly do. I mentioned that this sort of weather bothers my hands, which makes it hard to hold a book. But my Kindle is much lighter weight and easier to hold. The book pictured is Black Dawn from the Morganville Vampires Series by Rachel Caine. Love those books.
Finally watched the season finale of Lost Girl. I’m loving where it’s going can can’t wait for more. I always enjoy that whole “you shall love me and despair” thing.
Frequently texted the cable company to see the status of my area. Tried not to dramatically curse every time the service outage message came back.
